Waukesha County is the next county west of Milwaukee; it is composed of 576 square miles and 37 municipalities. We have lived in all of the four counties where the majority of our business is concentrated. Waukesha county is the answer for homeowners who want "a little bit country" in their community...OR a lot if you choose the hobby or real farm, farmette or just a larger lot with some room to roam.



A part of Waukesha County is referred to by people locally as "Lake Country" and the county has 118 lakes which cover over 23 square miles. There are lakes to boat, float and swim,fish, skate, snowmobile...premiums are paid for lake country living with water frontage....the ambience is sooo enjoyable !


Waukesha County is home to Waukesha County Technical College which has enrollment of over 30,000 students in a variety of disciplines including: Business and IT, Cosmetology and Barber College, Nursing and Allied Health fields, Education, Interior Design and Human Services, Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Graphics, Engineering, Skilled Trades and Protective Services. Over 20% of the school's enrollment are students who have already attained a degree and are looking to enhance and/or diversify their education.



Culturally....the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts is in Brookfield. The center is named for a courageous lady, wife and mother of 3 who was taken too young and died of breast cancer. A fierce proponent of the arts...this magnificent center celebrates art in every sense of the word. From art shows to plays,arts camp, lectures, dance....a great place to drink in a variety of wonderful events.



You just can't have "too much information" with the Waukesha County outstanding library system which is composed of 16 branches throughout the county where you can find not only books, magazines and CD's but also a variety of community programs.



Historical societies and specialized museums are found throughout the area with everything from trains to postal history...a great way to appreciate the roots of the ancestry and interests of the area.



For parents who want their sons to have early military training, St.John's Northwestern Military Academy in Delafield is known nationally for their high standards of academic excellence, character and spirtual foundations and ethical values for boys grades 7-12.



One of the natural features of Waukesha County is the Kettle Morraine. This area has been uniquely carved by glaciers of centuries passed. Rolling and irregular terrain dotted with ponds where beds of glacial ice once were...add the variety of trees with awesome fall colors, a huge variety of wildflowers in spring and summer and snowshoe and snowmobile trails in the winter...some people would tell you it just doesn't get any better for a display of nature's canvas than in this area of the state.
